For motorsport applications, the Radial Motion engine’s high output, light weight and slim profile offer instant benefits. The use of readily available components such as pistons, conrods and valves makes repair and maintenance simple and affordable.
Featuring an integral dry sump system, the motor has a surprisingly low centre of gravity and good ground clearance in most automotive applications.
Engines are available as turn key packages including inlet, exhaust and ancillaries or as long motors.
Engine Configuration
Bore & Stroke: 99.0 mm by 86.5 mm, 2000 CC (122 inch cubed).
Heads: Bespoke design, Harrop casting Tech, cast waterways, machined fins.
Valve Train: Gear driven two valve pushrod.
Valve Actuation: Comp cams ultra gold roller rockers.
Valves: Pep pro stainless steel, intake 2.0 inch, exhaust 1.5 inch.
Valve seats and guides: Three angle seat (steel) grind with bronze valve guides.
Lifters: Hydraulic.
Cams: Individual cam for reach head, Kelford CAMS NZ.
Pistons: Silverlight 99.0.
Barrels & Liners: Cast iron wet liners in a cast aluminium barrel.
Conrods: Eagle, 2.0 big ends.
Crank configuration: Single throw common journal.
Crank: Billet machined 4340, all over nitride and shot peen.
Bearings (mains, big ends): Bimetal shells (off the shelf) ACL with pressure oil.
Dry Sump Pump Pack: Three rotor gear pairs, bespoke manufacture.
Oil Pressure Pump: One rotor gear pairs, front mount, bespoke manufacture.
Intake Plenum: Three port high flow casting.
Throttle Body: Bosch fly by wire.
Sensors: Bosch motorsport, OEM standard.
Custom Fitting Kits
ECU: Motec M130 with O2 lambda sensor.
Loom: Tefzel conductors, Bosch Motorsport and Deutsch connectors.
Radiator: Custom all aluminium radiator with high flow motorsport fans.
Oil Tank: Peterson dry sump.
Oil Cooler: Three rows finned.
Water Pump: Electric, high flow.
Exhaust: Custom, coating to your spec.
As we venture above 8500 rpm we specify upgraded internals including PAC Racing Springs, titanium valves and retainers, Compstar conrods, SRP forged racing pistons, Yella Terra rockers, solid lifters with Chrome Moly pushrods, Mahle bearings and Bosch Motorsport sensors.
